Senior Failure Notice 2016

May 3, 2016

RE: Possible Failure to Meet Graduation Requirements

Dear Parent or Guardian:

BUSD requires 220 credits for graduation. If your student is receiving a grade of “D” or “F” they may

fail the class which would jeopardize their ability to graduate for insufficient credits and required

courses. Quarter 4 Progress reports will be distributed on Tuesday, May 10, 2016

At this time, teachers will be meeting with their students who are failing to let them know the

school work that is needed for academic success. If you have any questions, you may contact the

student’s teacher directly at the emails listed below.

Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Commemoration Contest Due 4/8/16

Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Commemoration Contest 20162016 Chavez Huerta Commemoration-English(1)  | Informacion en Espanol

“It is not enough to teach our young people to be successful…so they can realize their ambitions, so they can earn good livings, so they can accumulate the material things that this society bestows. Those are worthwhile goals. But it is not enough to progress as individuals while our friends and neighbors are left behind.”-Cesar Chavez

To celebrate the legacy and work of Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, BUSD and the Cesar Chavez Dolores Huerta Commemorative Committee (CCDHCC) is encouraging all 2nd -12th grade students to participate in our annual essay/poetry or spoken word/art contest!
